Terry Higgins dies
1982 – Terry Higgins died of AIDS, and the THT was formed is his memory.
Terry Higgins was one of the first gay men in the UK to die from AIDS related complications, and following his death, his partner and friends started the Terry Higgins Trust (now the Terrence Higgins Trust).
