Stonewall Housing grows
1987 – Growth despite barriers from Church
Stonewall Housing opened another house in Islington, providing a further nine bed spaces. This was managed despite opposition from the Catholic Church which refused to sell a property to the housing association if it was to be used by Stonewall Housing.
