1987 – Capital Gay targeted
Capital gay, a free London-based newspaper, was targeted in an arson attack. The attack was mentioned in the House of Commons during the debate on Section 28, during which the MP Elaine Kellet supported it by stating “I am quite prepared to affirm that it is quite right that there should be an intolerance of evil”.
